Welcome to my blog mainly about my journey into sock knitting with Hand Dyed Yarn

Hi my name is Deborah, I am an avid sock knitter and turned my passion for yarn into a hand dyed yarn business 5 years ago selling my yarn on Etsy then starting my website a few years later.

My Grandmother taught me to knit (crochet) when I was very young, I remember looking into her needle draw and asking what the needles were for that had 2 tips, she explained they were for knitting socks and that was the end of that. As the years went by I stopped knitting and got on with life. Many years later I just suddenly thought I would love to start knitting again and mentioned to my husband that I would like to start with making a teacosy, that was one of the things my Grandmother had taught me how to make, then as if by magic a few days later my husband came home with a bag, I was so surprised inside were needles ,pattern and yarn to make a teacosy, so sweet of him and that’s were this journey started, I came across a sock tutorial on YouTube and discover hand dyed yarns were perfect for the socks. After much research and trial and error I started dying yarn to sell and my addiction to sock knitting started. This blog will be about my sock knitting adventure and the journey to discover new techniques, a kind of diary of my sock knitting.
